Thinking about July

kittkestraI had hoped to do a bit more in terms of getting some introductions to my WIPs completed, and even an introduction for myself and my writing. The enthusiasm has remained, but the time has not materialized in my days.
My intentions for August are to hopefully get a "Writeblr" style introduction to me and what I intend to write completed. I also want to figure out an organizational system (both for tumblr and for here) for my works and how I might keep them easy to navigate.
I did start working on a slightly moodboard-y intro image, and then wasn't sure I was terribly satisfied with it. It suits the sort of dark green forest-y theme that I have in some of my icon and header images, and I like the aesthetic... I'm just not sure I think it actually suits my writing. It feels appropriate for fantasy works, but not all my work is fantasy, or the sort of... dark fairytale/cottagecore vibe that I think the image conveyed. Unfortunately, I haven't found something else that seems to have more suitable vibes, either. Maybe I can ultimately make a couple different ones? Maybe a more celestial-themed one? Pondering.
I don't want to say that WIP intros will wait until September to start, though I also don't want to be unrealistic about how much I can likely get done in August, considering that even at the height of my enthusiasm I didn't get much done.
I know I've seen (and I think reblogged) a post on tumblr about "having a full time job is really impeding my ability to be creative." The post was actually phrased in a humorous way, but that's the gist, and boy am I feeling it.
